BSQ Acquittal in Sexual Assault Case

In another notable success for our private crime department, BSQ has secured an acquittal following an eight-day trial in the Crown Court. BSQ’s client, a business professional was accused of several counts of sexual assault. He was cleared by a jury of all counts and retains his good character.

BSQ’s private crime department specialise in defending individuals accused of sexual misconduct. This recent case represents the second consecutive acquittal in 2022 for BSQ clients facing allegations of sexual misconduct. BSQ were instructed in the case at short notice after our client decided to change representation and discharge his legal aid lawyers who had advised him that he had no stood no reasonable prospect of an acquittal and to instruct a specialist firm on a privately funded basis.

In both cases BSQ‘s clients were represented by BSQ partner Roger Sahota.

In addition, our private crime department has a track record of successfully diverting pending criminal investigations away from court by obtaining a discontinuance notice from the police or CPS after submitting detailed pre-charge representations on our client’s behalf.
