BSQ partner and Fraud expert Daniel Godden together with private client partner Roger Sahota have been instructed in challenging one of the U.K.’s largest confiscation orders.

Following his conviction for fraud, BSQ client S was made subject to an SFO confiscation order in the sum of £40 million. Proceedings are currently underway in the Commercial Court to determine our client’s realisable interest in a pool of assets valued at over £50 million which is subject to a number of competing claims from other individuals and companies. The present case raises complex and unique questions of confiscation and property law.

The case is one of a number of ongoing SFO cases in which BSQ are instructed.
